Privacy Policy for Angle Meter

1. Overview

Angle Meter is designed from the ground up with privacy as a core principle. We believe measurement tools should work without compromising your personal data. This policy applies to the Angle Meter Android application developed by Dokapexon.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Device Sensor Data

What we access: Angle Meter accesses your device's motion sensors to provide angle measurements:

• Accelerometer: Measures acceleration forces for tilt detection and angle calculation
• Gyroscope: Measures rotational movement for smooth, stable readings via sensor fusion

How we use it: Sensor data is processed exclusively for calculating and displaying angle measurements. No sensor readings are stored, transmitted, or shared with third parties.

Data retention: All sensor readings are processed in real-time and discarded immediately after display. No historical sensor data is stored on your device.

2.2 Optional User Data

Angle Meter does not collect or require any of your personal information:

• No account required: Use all features without signing up or providing personal details
• No email required: No registration or email verification needed
• No location data: Angle Meter does not access your GPS or location services
• No camera access: No camera permissions required
• No microphone access: No microphone permissions required

3. Data Processing and Storage

Local Processing Only: All angle calculations and sensor fusion algorithms run entirely on your device. Your measurements never leave your phone.

No Data Transmission: Angle Meter does not transmit any data to external servers. There are no cloud services, no data synchronization, and no telemetry.

No Data Storage: The app does not store any sensor readings, measurements, or usage history. When you close the app, no measurement data remains.

Screen Lock Function: The screen lock feature keeps your screen active during measurements by preventing device sleep. This uses Android's wake lock API and does not collect or store any data about when you use this feature.

4. Third-Party Services

Angle Meter does not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising services. The only third-party service is:

4.1 Google Play Services

When distributed through Google Play Store, Angle Meter may use Google Play Services for:

• App distribution: Download and installation from Google Play
• In-app updates: Secure app updates through Google Play (optional feature)

Google Play Services has its own privacy policy. For more information, please visit: Google Privacy Policy

5. Permissions Required

Angle Meter only requests the minimum permissions necessary for core functionality:

6. Data Subject Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights. Since Angle Meter does not collect or store your personal data, most of these rights are inherently satisfied:

• Right to Access: Since we don't store your data, there's no personal data to request access to
• Right to Rectification: No personal data is stored or processed, so there's nothing to rectify
• Right to Erasure: Your device sensor data is not stored, so no erasure is needed
• Right to Portability: No personal data is collected, so there's nothing to export
• Right to Object: You can uninstall Angle Meter at any time through Android settings
• Right to Restrict Processing: Since all processing is local and necessary for the app's core functionality, this right is fulfilled by the app's design

7. Children's Privacy

Angle Meter is suitable for users of all ages and does not collect any personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

For Parents: Angle Meter is a safe measurement tool that does not require personal information, does not contain advertising, and does not collect usage data. It's appropriate for supervised use by children and students for educational and practical purposes.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

• Updating the "Effective" date at the top of this policy
• Providing prominent notice within the app when you next launch it

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.

9. International Data Transfers

Angle Meter does not collect or transfer any personal data across borders. All data processing happens locally on your device, regardless of where you are located.

For EU Users: Since no data leaves your device, there are no international data transfers. Your measurements remain in Germany and the EU, fully compliant with GDPR requirements.

10. Data Security

Since Angle Meter does not collect or store personal data, our security approach focuses on protecting the integrity of the app itself:

• App Security: Regular security updates and vulnerability assessments
• Code Review: The app is designed with security best practices
• No Data Breaches: Because we don't store personal data, there are no databases that can be breached
